Title: What mpg can I expect from
Post by: osealy on 24 February 2011, 18:36:01
2.0 Manual est. or 2.2 auto est?

Will they be worse than my last 3 TD auto estates all 34ish?   Would they seem slower, be happy towing 1400kg skiboat short distances, & up a slip?
Thanks.   Mostly Motorway & suburban not much city.

In my opinion, the 4 cylinder engines are no more efficient than the V6!

Stay away....

petrol or diesel?

2.5 V6 would just be as economical, although may suffer more in town.

2.2's are a joy to work on unlike the V6, stat and cam covers are an absolute doodle!

I get from my 2.2 manual estate low to mid twenties around town, low twenties when towing a 1600 kg caravan, and when on moterway doing about 70 i get about 33 and thats with a top box on.

So I guess that 2.0 & 2.2 are worse than 2.5TD.
Irish Road tax is c
2.0     Euro 600
2.2             800
2.5             935
3.0            1250
3.2             1650

I think I need an auto to get the boat up the slip so the Dti is probably out.
