Title: Dip beam FLD/range warning again
Post by: GrahamK on 25 February 2011, 20:27:57
Hi all,
Recently purchased an Omega and the above warning popped up on the way home. Thanks to this forum, I know about the little sensor on the nearside suspension arm. Problem is I've re-attached it twice and it keeps coming off. I can't see any tabs or clips to secure it on mine, just a push fit? Any suggestions?

Just a push fit, although judicious use of a cable tie may be enough to hold it in place.

Failing that, try the "parts" section and see if any of the breakers here have one.

If you put a "wanted" ad up in the "test" section, an Admin may take pity on you and move to the "parts" section for you .. :)

I thought about the cable tie, but not sure if a tight cable tie will allow the sensor to rotate and do it's job.

Graham.

Which end is coming off ? mine came off at the wishbone end, its attached by a small bolt through the wishbone and the bolt had fallen out.

A couple of cable clips judiciously placed will sort it, & the sensor will be fine. Mine have been fixed like this for more than a year & still fine :y
