Title: 2.2 Diff

Hi will the diff of a 2.2 auto saloon fit an 2.2 manual estate or is the gearing different  :-[

My diff ratio is 4.22;1 and sum others are 3.45;1 if i fit the 3.45;1 will i gain exalaration or will it be slower

A 3.45 on a 4 pot would be a bad idea IMHO.

It would be higher geared so slower to accelerate. That diff was only for diesels (a load of torque and low revving).

if you can't find the correct spec for your car, I can work out which one you have fitted.

2.2 auto = 4.22
2.2 manual = 3.9

So i will stay with 4.22 diff .Just have to find the cars that have the 4.22 diff

Three weeks ago I scrapped a 2.2 manual sport with diff still attached :'(
