Title: problem with n/s heater temp
Post by: smokingomega on 01 March 2011, 11:44:48
I have just been testing my arcon but noticed a problem with the heater on the passenger side. the temprature you set doesnt actually do anything.
I turned the engine off and turned the temp on the o/s up one by one and you can hear the motor working the flaps behind the dash. when I do the same on the n/s you cant hear anything working and the temprature stays the same.
I`m thinging the motor maybe fauty but where is it and how do you change it??????
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the reply.
I`ll give it a go
Would i hear the motor working if the arm had fallen off because as it is now when I turn the temp up it is silent, no creaking or motor noise at all.

Just had a look and mine is a N reg and seems to be different. I can`t seem to see which motor changes the hot and cold for the n/s.
I have removed the glovebox etc but still can`t figure out which changes the temp

I have now found the motor. The rod was intact. I really need help now before I end up putting a match to it!
If I force the motor into the hot position and then reset the heater with the on off buttons the motor moves back to cold.
But it won't work at all with the heat settings on the heater display?
Really haven't got a clue what to look at next.
