Title: Alloy Wheel Repair
Post by: Allenm on 08 October 2006, 15:35:58
Anyone have any experience of having a scuffed alloy repaired and the likely cost.

Milton keynes area preferred.

Just done this to the wife's car  :-[(http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/allenm_2006/SV200375.jpg)

Oh bugger :(

Have you tried how much new wheel is from Honda - sometimes they are reasonable to not made the £50+ refurbs not worthwhile?

Not yet,  just did it this afternoon,  will check out the cost of a new wheel, but suspect that it will be an arm and leg from Honda  >:(

My experience with such items is that they are either surprisingly cheap, or they are £236.01 each for my MV6 wheels  >:(

Already fessed up!  Stupid thing is, I've had alloys for bloody donkey's years, never so much as a scratch!  She has them for 3 months and I go and scuff the damn things :-[  Wouldn't mind so much, but if they end up looking like her old hubcaps then that little mark will be the best part of the wheels  ;D
