Title: Re-Post 2.2 lacks power
Post by: SteveAvfc. on 05 March 2011, 07:44:29
Drive a 2.2 petrol CDX x plate recently she seems to be  holding back on power it also seems to be surging when moving at a steady speed other days how ever she is fine. I have renewed the plugs and cleaned all the breather pipes so my next job was to clean the EGR valve would this be a wise move or should i be looking at some thing else, note that no spanner light comes on at all so not telling me i have a problem.

2.2 lacks power anyway, you need to get a code reader on it really  :y

No there are no ticking sounds i did notice how ever that when i changed the plugs i had oil in number three could this be coming from a gasket leak on cam cover then causing plug failure ?
