Can anyone help, ive had my omega for 2weeks now and took it on its 1st big run yesterday,it cut when i broke after going hi speed,it was fine after i restarted.
Took kids school this morning and when it gets to 3rd gear it revs really high then settles and drives ok.
i have a 2ltr 16v auto,
is it a gearbox problem,or an airflow problem,Please can anyone help,I have a baby due any day so cant be doing without my car >:(

before messing with the gearbox - change the crank sensor and report back. If you have time you can check ATF (gearbox ) fluid - there is a "how to" on here somewhere.

I would recommend at least an ATF top up, and possibly an ATF and filter exchange. How many miles on the vehicle? OOF recommends changing ATF and cleaning or changing ATF filter at 60,000 miles.

103360 miles on clock,
would it have to go into a garage to get that work done

don't know about your autobox problem mate...
but my manual stalled when coming down from high revs when I had the MAF sensor unplugged, so you're could be faulty I'm NOT saying it's this, as it's an expensive part, but that's just my limited experience. Perhaps you could diagnose it further? (If it runs no different with it unplugged for example, then it's prob not working!)

Not necessary if you have a jack and axle stands. Link is here.

ive taken my car down to the garage and the mechanic confirmed that it sounds like the crank sensor is playing up,
along with a non working radiator temp sensor,
he has recommended changing the fluid and filter on the gearbox also just because uts never been done,
Thankyou all for your help and advice,
