Title: removing rear shocks heeeelp!

hi all, i am in the middle of replacing my rear shocks and have hit a snag the bottom of the shock the sleeve is jammed in there anyone have any tips on how to get it out? many thanks for speedy replies!!

Plus Gas penetrating fluid.

Then gentle taps  on the bottom of the shocker alternating side to side with a rubber mallet or a hammer and a lump of wood.

I did mine last week, estate are a bit different

i pulled the shock off leaving the little metal 'tube' stuck in the car.

I covered this in penetrating fluid, then a few bashes up and down with a hammer and it prised out no problems.

i've been bashing my shock eye with a cold chisel and hammer and it still won't move will try the side to side approach!

I tapped the hub around the mount then wiggled the shock from side to side, didn’t even use wd40

finally got it off i heated it with a hot air gun it was still resisting but finally came off, probably didn't help that it was only three degrees out today!

Glad you got them sorted, never had a problem, must be lucky.
