Can anyone confirm the early FL Climate Panel Part Number please, if they have one laying around, or even the later type number, so I can eliminate them from my inquiries. I assume later ones would be off 2.2,2.6 and 3.2.
I know what your thinking but I dont want to rip it all out twice, but source one and get the job done in one go.
Cheers Chris. ;)

According to my EPC looks like the part number is 9105065. I would need your vin number to be 100% sure. According to the EPC there are 3 possible versions for a facelift the above number is the earliest one. I would check with the vin filter to be completely sure. :y

Thanks Mark, I'll dig out the Vin and pm it if thats ok, I knew there were 2 versions but not 3, I know that the later ones had extra features for the Air Circulation bit and Auto Co2 internal sense.

I've got a couple of mint ones here Chris depending on what part number you need ;)

Thanks Pete, think I may have sourced one locally, subject to P/N, but I'll bear that in mind.

I know that on the pre facelift models there are two different digital climate panels both physically the same but the late one has a small yellow dot sticker stuck on the back for identification. If you fit the wrong panel you get the -- -- on the display briefly indicating a problem.

Thanks, Mark, Im talking only Facelift models.

Chris,
According to your vin you have a model year 2000 4 door saloon and the above panel number is correct 9105065. :y

Thanks again Mark.

Your welcome ;)
If your looking for a replacement panel bear in mind what I said about the prefacelift panels. GM identify the later ones by a coloured dot on the back. Obviously you need an early one (without the dot). :-X

They are all interchangable (obviously not between pfl and fl).
PFL ones have config settings for saloon/estate, all have configs for other options (LHD/RHD, units, additional pump etc etc). Needs Tech2 to reconfig panel.

So even if I get the right p/n for an early FL, it could still be configured wrong, would it work though, even temporary, Im bl**dy freezing at night and have to have the windows open slightly to stop the screen from misting up.

Is yours a facelift then? If so, dont worry too much about PN.

Yep, this ones a 2000 FL, but I do remember a while back messing with a 3.2 it had a different part number.
-
I know that when I replaced a late pre facelift panel with an identical early one it seemed to work but the display would show -- -- briefly upon startup. Both panels were from a saloon. When I then swapped it out for a late panel with a similar yellow dot on the back (EPC shows a VIN breakpoint) it worked perfectly.
Needless to say my local Vauxhall dealer tried to tell me that a new unit needed to be electronically paired which was clearly wrong. I assume the yellow dot indicated later firmware as both appeared otherwise identical.

Correct and the later part code replaces the older one (the older one had the intermittent issue with the internal re-circ setting it self on startup).
I.e. they both work fine

The -- means fault codes are stored
-
Mark when I swapped the panels the -- -- fault indication cleared immeadiatly. I assumed I had fitted a panel with the wrong firmware as it was an earlier one with a different part number.

Cheers Mark :y and Mark :y

As you would expect if the second panel had no stored fault codes.
-
Mark as a matter of interest would a fault indication clear itself after a set number of sucessful starts with no fault present or would it need to be removed with Tech 2 ?

Not on the climate panel, on the engine ECU yes but even then its very dependent on which code it is (as some dont ever reset without a decent scan tool)
