Ello !!
just checked the FAQ's and searched the topic as you do thats causing such frustration (and lack of sleep) and came up with a big fat zero so here goes............!
The alarm on the 03 omeeega is randomly going off, could be 1 hour 1 day or in the middle of the night and its getting to the stage where i'm going to leave it unlocked :-/ just so i don't annoy the neighbours !!
the only other thing that has happened is the central locking is a bit iffy, sometimes it works perfect and sometimes it doesn't and also it can lock and unlock so needs the key to open and shut and another thing the drivers lock can struggle to work when all the others work fine...........its jsut like its a pain in the arse and knows it ;D
any ideas or help would be welcomed........i thank you :D

the bonnet switch is often a favourite, unplug it for a start & see how you go on.
Another is a failed/failing power sounder, driver's side under the plastic scuttle.
To lock the car without setting the alarm, open the rear driver's side door, push locking pin for driver's door. Check your keys are in your hand & then shut the back door. :y :y :y

Alreet cocker :D
thats just the sort of info i'm after,i'll try locking it on the drivers door popper and then shutting the d/s rear door and then if that not works the other things.
is the power sounder under the wheelarch liner or by the wiper motor,i think its by the wiper motor but tbh i never have had any need to look before :D
Ta very much pal :y

Sorry, but it tends to be the 'rechargable batteries' in the 'POWER SOUNDER'.
It's located driver side under flap below scuttle against bulk-head, suggest - disconnect, if it sorts the problem, replace if you like or just leave it.

As Richard says, the power sounder is by the wiper motor.
The ordinary car horns are by the near side wheel arch liner/front bumper. :y

i took my power sounder out the back plate was split and the batterys which where sealed into unit with black silicon where turning brown, so rekon i saved my motor. :y

Not advised .... if you don't use it .. REMOVE IT !!! Reason is .. as the batteries discharge /fail they leak acid .. this has, occasionally, been enough to short either the remaining battery or the charge circuit, and the unit has caught fire .. with expensive results.
They have done this both connected in the car and "on the shelf" ... so for safety's sake ... take it out and either replace with a new one or leave the cable bagged .. and don't put the old one anywhere that a fire would be bad ...... :(

stand in front of your car and it's on the left of the engine bay towards your brake reservoir .... it's the only plunger under the bonnet. :y
-
So it's up by the windscreen end of the bonnet ?
I've been looking at the front by the release catch .... muppet.
Thanks. I'll have a peek tomorrow.

Nearer the hinge than the slam panel, but not as far back as the hinge. I can't show you mine (oooer ::)) because mine is on the other side of the car. :y

It probably is on your car as it is on mine, but the later cars have it on the driver's side of the car :-?. There's even another connector on the passenger side where another bonnet switch cold be fitted. :y :y

Found it !!
After weeks of wondering where the hell it was attached to the underside of the bonnet, found it as stated next to the brake fluid reservoir. Disconnected, wire taped up and standing by.
Omeegha... have you managed to get yours sorted ?
Thanks gents.
