Good evening everyone. Its been a while so i hope all is well. I have had a new cat system fitted on my 2.2 omega. I have done around 60 miles and decided to give it a mild thrashing which then bought the management light on. Having it tested has thrown up p0420 cat fault.anything simple to sort or take tis new cat back?????

why was the cat replaced? Do you have the original? If you do, and its the flexi which failed just after the main cat, the old flexi could have been cut off and a new one welded on for about £15....
Also you don't need to SHOUT when putting a subject ;)

Any other codes?
If not, look at the live data on the 2 lamdas :y

Sorry for shouting my fault list with this car is a bog roll long.lol
I got the cat changed as the flexi unit had completely fell apart not got the old one as it was in bad order anyway.there are no other fault codes. ive had the light switched off and seems to have stayed out for the 25 miles i done today

pattern cats are not great, sounds basic, but what fuel do you use? Supermarket brand? Might be worth a tank of decent fuel and some boy racer driving, see if fault is duplicated.
