Title: leaky boot

hi all i have a 98 2.5v6 elite saloon it has sprung a leak in the boot i have checked the seals on the rear lights holding water can against lights nothing seals are ok checked by putting water down back screen took carpet out to see if there was visible ingress again nothing any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If others don't know of a common fault, they can be a pain to trace.
I had 'soggy boot syndrome' with an Opel Manta many moons ago. Finally traced it to the rear window rubber.  Lifted the outer rubber enough to get the sealant nozzle in and a 'once round' sorted it.

Have you a sunroof? The drain pipes run through the boot.....

thanks guys  i do have a sunroof i will check where the drain pipes go just to make sure the exit is not blocked
