Title: Fans cutting in at cold start
Post by: geoffr70 on 11 March 2011, 21:36:13
Hello, recently I noticed both fans kicked in immediately on a cold start. This doesn't happen all the time though. Do I need to replace the radiator thermostat fan switch? And, is that what it's called? Thanks

Could well be the CTS switch in the rad. Might be worth lifting the lid on the triangular relay box under the bonnet and giving the orange relay a tap to see what happens - I had that relay stick on one of my cars and the fans stayed on permanently.

If the A/C is switched on then both the fans on the front will be running constantly
