Post by: gerry c on 21 March 2011, 01:34:00
after me heaping praises to my mates about how much i love my meg and how good it is, on the way home tonight the car with a spanner light came on seconds later my poor girl died on me. managed to push it back to the house ( by jesus they are hard to push lol)

i dont think its the battery because the lights come on and it tries to turn over. 2.2 lpg/petrol

Read the codes and post them up on here and we maybe of some assistance to you.
Take a look in the maint guide section as to how to read the fault codes for your specific model year. :y

esp when i have tried to start the car a few times lol. gonna see how much a 2nd hand engine will cost against replacing the bent valves and stuff.  i could just end up breaking it should get a nice few £££ for the lpg kit

Although no comfort now, belt, tensioner & water pump on 4 pots must be changed every 4 years or 40k. Which ever comes first, if it's ever unknown, best to change :)
