Post by: harpersimon on 22 March 2011, 12:54:30
Hello
I found a procedure to change the front wheel bearings, but how hard are the rear? same process? Thanks.

Rears are quite a lot more than difficult to do. Especially if compared to fronts. Doable, you will find several threads on the forum but no-one can say it's easy (well, I had some very good luck with the latest one I did but I ended up having a play in it, which I still wonder why....)

Save yourself a whole lot of heart ache and give the car to a (trusted)garage to do.

Expect to be about £200 lighter  but you will still be sane.....thats assuming you don,t have a 30 ton press, a320ftlb torque wrench, and several hours on your hands.

LOL!
I have access to all of that funnily enough, but I'm not going to use it :-) Into the garage then.. (once I work out where the rumble is coming from.. )
