Title: Cam Cover Gaskets 3.2 V6
Post by: Nathan on 27 March 2011, 17:21:14
A Couple of questions

1, Are the gaskets from Vaux World any good and worth using

 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-OMEGA-SAAB-V6-CAM-ROCKER-COVER-GASKET-SET-NEW-/370107027655?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item562c1910c7

2, What sealant is best to use

3, Can anyone recommend someone local to me to carry out the work ???

1. NO   -  Genuine Vx only from a dealer

2. Black sealant as stated in the "how to"

3. Several folks around ... Elite Pete, Darth Loo Knee (Daz), JamesV6, Wellung .. and a few others .. no idea if they are "local" to you or not ... :)

Relatively easy job to do .... all explained here ..

Do not use pattern cam cover gaskets. They are universally shite, lasting between 2 weeks and 6 months. Genuine ones last at least 5 years normally.
