ordered a backbox for mine a few days ago from Germany and then saw i ordered the estate version by mistake and cancelled the order, they refunded me in full and said order another (not had time yet)..... anyway the backbox turned up today free of charge lol :D Not going to attempt to try and fit it as its for an estate but theses companys must have money to burn ;D
-
Testing the water here... If your not using the box, are you needing a new home for it? ;)
If so, will it fit a prefacelift estate do you know?
Hope you don't mind me asking! :y

If you received the box without paying for it .. shouldn't you .. at least .. contact them and tell them ?? and offer to return it if they pay the carriage ???
Until they say you can keep it .. it belongs to them and anything else is theft IMHO .. :(

I certainly agree with that . :y

only theft if you intened to keep it :-? :-?
the intention to permanetly deprive them of it. But i would ask if they would like it back as it's no use to you. But is to me ;D ;D ;D :) ::)

The niceties of the Theft Act aside this......

.....should be the first thing to be done in the circumstances.
Of course now that the topic of theft has been raised, would some other person, being aware of these facts, handle stolen goods (an offence in itself) should they then purchase the item in question?
-
If they were to say they did not want it back say due to the cost of return postage then he/she may do has he/she likes with it, Yes. But you are correct must ask first if they would like it back. :y
-
E mail them & tell them to send a courier to pick it up. they will probably say keep it. ::) ::) ::)
-
Oh, and probably consider ordering the next one elswhere! I've just fitted an Eternal back box on my estate, £29 plus postage. :y
-
No worry people I have indeed contacted them and they have said I can keep the box as it is not cost effective for them to have it couried back to them, but anyway I kind of knew that anyway so happy days all round me thinks :D

Just proves that Honesty IS the best policy. You now have legal ownership and can dispose of the item in any way you choose, without fear of any repercussions at all :y :y :y :y
