Title: Using cubby -hole for a Carin Screen
Post by: MV6Matt on 09 April 2011, 19:56:38
On my Prefacelift centre Console is the little square cubby hole (to left of radio)
When you take the surround trim off the actual hole is lined with a sort of sandpaper coarse fuzzy-felt.

I will be putting in a Carin screen some time shortly and want to know if I have to take the whole of the cubby hole box out or just the lining?
I will be running leads through to behind the H/U so  guess will need access for them, but don't know the extent to which I will have to remove stuff.

Anyone retro fitted a Carin screen and got any tips?

CARiN particularly easy to retrofit if your car has a the loom plug (you still need to run the CARiN loom.

Seems to be most later 1998 cars and most 1999 cars have the plug in my experience, though only ever looked on higher specced cars...
