You can get away with standard ones... I think it improved the handling a tad ;)

Should have a set of genuine VX Std elite (Ident code LA) available in about a week . Very low mileage, A1 condition & cheap. ;D
PM me if interested :y :y

I cannot find the invoice but I bought a pair of self levellers for my saloon from Cat Components of Tunbridge Wells. The main supplier was ZF Trading UK Ltd of Crick, Northants - 01788 822855 (at least it was 2 years ao). Part ref for saloon was 25 -E49-0. Seem to think. Not sure if ZF will still only sell via agents. Worth a try. There would be a post on here around March 2009 re prices etc.

Stick standard ones in, or lsc, far less wobbly that sl/elite springs.

Dumb question - but are the Elite rear springs different as well as the SL shocks?
-
The ZF ones were £58 each and ask them to check and confirm the parts you need against your car registration number

Sl only on elite. So sl springs(and shocks) are elite only, same thing.
Although some plod had self leveling. Suspect they used firmer springs though. :y

S/L shocks and standard springs work well ;) ;)

Might over power the damping causing early shock failure..... Might. Sl springs are very soft on their own, watch it in the corners. :-/
