No codes. Symptons.......starts & idles really lumpy & stinks of unburnt petrol. Will rev OK (still lumpy).....engage drive and try to move off......no chance, tries to move but loses all power. Thinking dispack :-/

Could be the DIS pack but could be the HT leads. Check to see if any of them are arcing - they sometimes do break down. It's easier to see this when it's darker.

Hi Rob, I'd be happy to cast an eye over it on the weekend if you want? I have a spare set of leads (used but genuine and definitely good) in the boot which can be yours for a couple of pints.

Dis pack, HT leads or plugs - could be all or any :(
Start with the kind offer of the plug leads, once eliminated I would check the plugs as they are easier to do (apart from no. 6 :o).
Similar problem to mine, I ended up replacing all three and still had a slight high end misfire, eventually settled down.
Happy spannering :y

It`s the one I`m breaking in "parts". Owner thought it was HG `cause it was missing slightly but still driveable. Now it`s missing all over the place. If it`s an easy fix I`ll sell the engine as good, although it`s done 160K it`s bloody immaculate under the bonnet. If not an easy fix it`ll be 3.0 cams out and sell. :)

Ah, ok fella. On that note, I may need some bits and pieces from you anyway. Just need to write a list when I find a pen with enough ink in it. ;D

We had same symptoms, change of plug leads fixed ours.

Pull a few plugs and see if there is oil in the wells...whle you are there check the condition of the lead rubbers...if you have a dispack you can swap onto it to test then may as well do that, just an hours job to sort...also check for air leaks and breather pipes are put on correctly :y
