Title: Misfire

Hi all got reading of no 4 misfire on code reader wifes 2.6 running a bit rough. I know its probably a plug oroil in the well. But is there any way of checking coil pack without changing it.

just had the same problem on my 2.6

remove the coil pack and inspect for cracks

mine was deffo showing signs of age, several cracks and swollen showing moisture had got inside

replaced coil for £75 and all good again :y

Change plugs and see if it clears. But does mean going back in under the cable tray a second time if it persists, but you'll have your answer then.

ASAP though, if there's oil in there it will be cooking the rubber boots, may be usable if caught early enough.

Thanks guys parked up at present til I can strip & check it. I have new cam cover gaskets and seals ready to fit also. its just finding the time at the moment. Maybe Friday as it  will be quiet. ;D ;D ;D
