Hi,
Would the following Alloys and Tyres fit a 3.0v6 Omega: with variable nuts:
Front Wheel Size: 8.5J x 18" H2 (off set 18-35)
Rear Wheel Size: 10.0J x 18" H2 (off set 14-20)
Tyre Sizes: Front & Rear 235/50/R18

That's a good question Jimbob :) ;)

whats the pcd?
I suspect incorrect for an Omega hence 'variable nut' (they'll be wobble bolts.) ;)
-
being 8.5j fronts i suspect they would rub with the base of the shocks? :(

Hi,
I am told the PCD is 5x120.
Would these fit with variable bolts?

I don't think so given that the Vx is 5x 110.
I think you can use wobbly bolts with +/- 2mm limits, so 120 makes it too big and not very safe
Are they Beemer wheels?

Tyre size would need to be 235/45/18 IIRC

for the fronts you can have either 225 - 245 40/45 18 and for the rear you caqn have anything up to 285's without having any rubbing issues.
I have 8.5 x 18 on the front and 10.5 x 18 on the rears, and the tyre sizes I went for were 225/40/18 on the front and 265/35/18 on the rear

Hi, yes they came off a BMW 3 series.
-
I think that PCD is too large to safely fit on the omega
-
BMW wheels will not fit straight on, wrong bolt pattern. Don't know if there's an adapter spacer available...?

Blimey, properly tyred as per GM's recommendations, Omega's understeer like a pregnant dog at speed. That must be a handful in the bends ;D

I have 8.5 x 18 on the front
Have you got hubcentric spacers or are you not running much -camber/
-
Personally, I wouldn't fit wobble bolts at all... I don't trust them where wheels are concerned ::) ::)

the ponly time I have ever hada problem with the handleing was when it was snowing.. cos of the wide rears I had no traction.. apart from that it handles like a gokart...

no spacers and I haven't touched the camber... all I did was fit the wheels and tyres and then to it t the garaged t get a 4 wheel alignment
-
you could use adapters or have them redrilled but imho i would just buy the one's that fit right in the first place there's loads of second hand wheels out there going cheap
-
You would need these.

Would widen the track by 20mm or more and allow you to fit BMW alloys.
though about doing it myself as the BMW alloys are very appealing.
But I've not got £140 rolling about at the moment.
