Title: Alternator Change

Would i need any special tools/ramp to remove the alternator or it can be done from the top. Any words of advice. TIA Sam :y

cant be done from top imo, under car with stands or ramp, no special tools required normal spanners will do it  :y

Multiram setup out.

Aux belt off.

Disconnect battery

Remove the two securing bolts (one end is torx, the other end hex)

swing the alternator out and disconnect the two rear electrical connections.

i got a decent price for my alternater
£74.16 +VAT from www.ajcycles.co.uk

i did mine from the top but not much room to work i  have 100 amp one i dont need i bought it for my 2.5 but i needed a 120amp so now not needed

i have another one needing bearings if any of you have the pullers

Have to agree,not much room but do-able from the top. :y
