Title: vauxhall omega 2.6 v6 petrol 2003 82,000 miles

hello,
my car will not start.
put jump leads on first two times and it started.
yesterday wouldnt start with jump leads. sprayed quick start down air inlet.
battery is ok,i have had it checked and there are no fault codes.today it will not start again
had a problem over winter with immobiliser sounding and i bought a new battery.
any ideas [smiley=cry.gif]

Do pedal trick for codes - bet its your crank sensor  ;)

0335 which means you need a new crank sensor 
 :(

It lives up near the oil filter & secured with just one Torx headed bolt.
An OE sensor from Vauxhall is around £50 on Trade Club (can't access TC site any more so can't be precise of give you part number)

Must be a mistake, they only listed one in last years book.

Tradeclub site has gone VERY confusing on part numbers, list multiples on many

suspect it is listing all Y26SE engines, not excluding non omegas

are aftermarket brands okay.
seen a new crankshaft sensor on e-bay for £38.40
what do you think

Don't buy Ebay ones. Only get them from you Vauxhall dealer ;)

Many have tried cheaper ones, only to end up buying the genuine ones...  ...so I'd stick to dealer...

Dont know if this will help anyone but I had to get one December 2009 when dealers were closed. Got mine from Euro and not had any problems since. Was I just lucky :y

Just had mine done in france,went one day prior to getting the daughter back to Nantes airport for flight to UK.did,nt have time to do it myself so had to use my local French Garage.Could,nt complain as they did it in quick time.Cost,183euros ouch! :( :(

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP.
FITTED NEW CRANK SENSOR TODAY AND IT STARTED FIRST TIME.
GOT PART FROM VAUXHALL CAR PARTS FOR £48.48
THEY PROMISED NEXT DAY DELIVERY BUT IT TOOK TWO DAYS BUTAT LEAST THIS PETROL GUZZLING MONSTER IS BACK ON THE ROAD UNTIL I CAN SELL IT.
