Title: 2.6.v6 starting problem
Post by: alimodriver on 16 May 2011, 21:16:14: Over the last couple of weeks the car was turning over very slowly,but would start. Today it didn't respond at all.I put on the headlights as I was trying to start her ,and they didn't even dim. The keyfob is knackered,so I don't think it's the imobiliser. Could it be a solenoid on the gear selector?, as I've read on here that the starters are bullet proof.

Post by: alimodriver on 17 May 2011, 22:47:39: Took it to spark today. Said the starter motor was u.s. due to rocker cover gasket leaking oil onto it. Will need the rocker gaskets done now.. hope this helps anybody else out there.

Not how I see it :-/

It seems to me a new forum member is giving an alternative opinion from the auto spark that says the starter is u/s

Can you gove any contact details for omegaspares? Might be useful as they are local to me.
