Does anyone know what size copper washer it takes please?
Mines weeping slightly.
-
exactly the same as a normal oil sump washer :y
on my old box that needed topping up a lot, I swapped it for the newer torx style with the rubber washer :y
-
Or just reanneal it with heat :y
-
Thanks, I've got plenty of those. :y
What do you torque it up to?
-
Personally till it 'bites'
They can be awkward to remove, and Ive had issues with the hole coming away from the sump in the past, so I dont go too tight

The oil change guide states
Replace the sump plug and torque up to 10Nm for torx type sump plug and 55Nm for older hex bolt with copper washer.
So would use the same if torquing given its the same plug :y

Silly me, never thought of looking at the guide :-[

got it from the oil change guide not the atf change guide :y
-
according to mr haynes the atf filler plug should be torqued to 33Nm or 24 lb/ft
-
... so that confirms it as 10Nm then ;)
-
I sure as hell wouldn't do the ATF filler up to 55Nm
As Jimbob says, just nip it...
