Title: Brake Pad Warning
Post by: Steve Wood on 20 May 2011, 08:38:54
Hi Guys,

I was getting a break pad warning come up on the trip computer, I've changed the front pads as they were down to about 30% but the after market pads didn't have the sensor so although I've got new pads I still get the message.

Is there a way to stop this message or do I just have to live with it and by pads with the sensor next time?

the sensors plug in, clipped under wheel arch closest to engine bay, basically short out the connector and message will go its only 2 contacts  :y

the sensors don't come with the pads but are available seperately from vx,your car will have one each side on the front,or you can do as the above post descibes

thought the sensors were part of the pad? didn't look like I could retro fit one.

The sensor clips to the anti-rattle butterfly spring.  :y
