Title: Crank sensor woes
Post by: henri on 22 May 2011, 15:06:09
Hi Guys
Need a bit of advice, had a crankshaft sensor fitted here in france 1 week ago and today the fault code is showing 0335 again will obviously be going back to garage tomorrow to explain the problem which is.- during a 25 mile trip the engine was constantly missing, the spanner light came on permanently and when I got back home and stopped the car it took a couple of turns but did eventually start. Am I justified in expecting the work to be rectified with no charge. Have already paid for the job 183 euros :( :(

Completely justified... Reckon they fitted a pattern part and/or didn't re-route the cable ;)

as LD says get them to refit only genuine gm sensor  :y
reroute cable away from heat sources i.e manifold etc  :y
tell them that its their fault  :y
do not pay to have the job done again  :y
changing it yourself is only a 10min job  ;)
