Title: Bilstein suspension
Post by: Mr Gav on 22 May 2011, 16:40:19
Hi folks, just a quick query. Bilstein B4`s seem to be recomended on here as they work well with the MV6 springs, has anybody had any experience with the B6`s and if so whats the main difference between those and the B4`s?

TIA
Gav

I have Bilstein B6's on my 98 Estate front and rear (with Eibach not MV6 springs). I put those on as I understood they were the correct version for the car.

How do they compare with the B4? Couldn't tell you - I have never had B4's on my car.

However, having  Eibach/Bilstein combo suspension with 19" rims and low profile tyres driving on the generally shite UK roads is something of an acquired taste.............. ::)

Yeah I can imagine that  ;)
I like the ride of the MV6 and don`t want to ruin it but I would think the Irmscher dampers would be a silly price from Vx.
As I`m going to need to do the wishbones for the MOT and I`m gonna poly bush them I might as well sort the suspension out to as the NSF damper is misting oil at the top and I`m damn sure the donuts are fubar.
