I have decided to break my mini facelift car in what little spare time I have , before letting the scrap man take it away for FREE. :'( :'(
It has 3/4 tank of fuel.
Any suggestions for safely getting the fuel out and into my other Omega? Can I disconnect the battery and then break into the fuel line in the engine compartment, attach a plastic hose and when any spillage has evaporated reconnect and switch ignition on and let the fuel pump do the job?

what i do it use an old fuel retrn line, undo the one fron the inlet manifold on the engine going to the tank (fuel return) put the spare/old/extra) fuel return line on and place it in a container or into the petrol cap of the car you want to fill, start the car and let it run, the faster u rev it the quicker the fuel return emptys, but a would just let it tick over, etther that or cut the fuel return line, and place a hose in or over it, and tighten with a jubalee clip.

1, make a hole in the bottom of the tank and drain,
2, pump out from inspection tank,
3, brake fuel line, and bridge fuel pump relay and pump away
few ways to do it.

surely its easiest to remove the plate in the boot, lift out pump and sysphon from there??
although i must confess when we are scrapping a car we jack up the rear, drill a hole in the lowest point of the tank and drain into suitable containers, far easier that way :y
