Title: Part Location
Post by: amba on 21 May 2011, 14:03:58
Can somebody confirm if a 2003   2.2 has an ICV and where abouts within the engine bay is it located.

Breathers all now cleaned but still running rough on idle...no air leaks and all hoses and pipes are connected correctly.

No, it doesn't.

Did you clean up the throttle body, as per the guide?

Hi all, it's my car he's been helping me with. New plugs fitted, EGR newly blanked off, throttle body and all pipes cleaned up. Lost as to what to try next. Getting a pop from the exhaust on revving. Entire exhaust system renewed over the past 18 months including manifold. Drives ok but idle is very uneven. No warning lights.

I've put the normal gasket back on the egr valve, warning light has returned. There is air blowing out of the body of the egr. Should that be happening?

So if blocking off the EGR valve has improved the running then that must point to part of the problem.

Cant see how the valve body could leak as just a cylinder with a gasket to seal.

The pop from the exhaust bothers me too. I can't tell where air is getting in. Had entire exhaust system renewed over the last 18 months.

My EGR leaks between the valve body and the solenoid. Can't see how it comes apart so I can seal it though.
