Greetings and salutations,
it seems that catalytic converters on my 3.0 Omega are dead. As original ones are too expensive and I got good opinions about Magnaflow, I would like to ask about those. The problem is, that although on official magnaflow pages there is listed direct fit converter for Omega (3pcs avaiable), I cannot find it anywhere (even on their listed online dealers). Can anyone point to where can I order them? Or if I cannot buy direct fit, I was thinking about universal ones. For example here: http://www.jdmultimate.com/Product/i-155312.aspx?Year=1997-2001&Make=CADILLAC&Model=CATERA is listed one for Catera (which is USA Omega, right?), will this be OK?
Thanks for any help.

What made you come to that conclusion?

I was in workshop for some strange sounds check and they told me, that (besides other unknown causes) I have bad mufflers and also that my catalytic converters are gone. You can hear the sound of exhaust here:

I can also hear strange tapping sound from oil filler tube (only when it is opened), when the engine is warm I can hear some squeeking sound from it, after starting up cold engine in hot weather, it is probably running only as V5 and I have leaking valve cover gasket. Since I have mistakely used 5W30 oil during oil change, I hope all of those are caused by this oil and I am planning to change it to 10W40 and change the valve cover gasket.

Any ideas please? :)) Or does anyone know the diameter of exhaust pipe, so I can check if it will fit?
Thanks for any help

Tomorrow I'll have available the two downpipes with cat converters off a 2.5 v6, which as far as I'm aware will fit the 3.0 also. They are GM, not aftermarket.
