hi all
about a month ago had new discs, pads all round and handbrake shoes fitted, i have just started to notice a clicking coming from the rear (i think) when applying brakes softly, doesnt happen when applied with force,
the clicking is gradually getting louder :(
anybody any idea what it could be ??
TIA

In theory get someone to apply the brake and then turn the jacked wheel while in neutral while examining the pads to see what moves. But with the weight of the car when it occurs it may not be possible to apply enough leverage. But can but try...
Sumats not right with pad location somewhere.

ok will see what i can fathom out :y

bet its the normal thing of someone not cleaning thepad runners out of crap and rust, this causes the pads to stick when you apply the brakes it moves slightly and gives a click,
other one is not cleaning the pins of rust this also causes a click as the pads move :y

On the fronts yes, v shaped and diverted on. On the rear there's a cross shaped spring the fits under the pins to hold the pads in place.
