Title: Water pump suitability
Post by: Osprey on 30 May 2011, 18:01:04
BuyPartsBy were a little hesitant in supplying a water pump for my V6 because their part shows suitability for engine numbers up to 08579084 and my engine is later than this.  I went ahead and bought it anyway because I’m fairly sure all the six pots have the same pump throughout the run.

Is this correct?

May well be, but not all v6 water pumps are the same, beware the bolts sticking out the back of the pulley and catching the casting type issues, depending on make of course.
