Hi guys I was wondering if anyone can help me.
The last few days I've had problems starting my 2000 Y FL 3.0 manual MV6 it all started when it suddenly cut out at lights did'nt think anything of it but the next time I tried to start it would turn over but would not fire, I kept trying and eventually after around 30 secs it did fire, it is now random when it wants to start. Just took it to someone I know with a snap on scanner and it wasnt showing any codes but he did notice that the halls or rpm sensor was only showing intermittently. Is this an easy fix? The dissy pack looks to be buried. Could it be something else?
I'm now without car till I can sort this so the taxi bill is going to be silly
Help Please!

Hall sensor is the "cam" sensor. Very rarely fails on V6. Paperclip it for codes, possibly crank sensor.

Thanks for the reply
First thing I did came up with:
21 Throttle position sensor voltage high
91 O2 Sensor 2 Circuit Voltage High
Just thought a scanner would give me a better idea it showed that the crank sensor was working ok but had a graph to show that the rpm sensor was going off and on every couple of seconds and eventually engine just cut out
So does this point to the cam sensor?

Unlikely cam sensor on a V6 - more likely crank sensor faulty.

hmmm ok thats two people who are experienced with omegas pointing to the crank sensor I might just have a go at changing that first and then go from there
cheers
