It's late and I'm tired, so forgive me for asking a daft question, but how do you get the lens off to replace a side repeater bulb. Is it held in with clips and , if so, are the clips left and right or top and bottom?

Stand by for advice request on how to repair scratched paintwork. ;) ;D

Well, I was very careful and gently took the lens and bulb holder out.
End of story? Er, no. There were no wires connected!!!. :o :o
No wonder it didn't work. So, my next question is how do I get to the cavity to locate the wires? Through the passenger footwell or the inside of the wheel arch?

Wheel off,support car on axle stand,remove various plastic nuts from wheel arch liner - start at the rear, nearest the door. you may get away with removing a few and then be able to bend the liner out of the way to allow you to reach the plug and plug it back in. :y

End of story? Er, no. There were no wires connected!!!. :o :o
No wonder it didn't work. So, my next question is how do I get to the cavity to locate the wires? Through the passenger footwell or the inside of the wheel arch?

What's the flash rate like on that side of the car? If it's flashing very quickly then the lamp is blown or missing, if it's still flashing correctly, then the lamp is still working where ever it is. :y

Thanks Albs. Job done - sort of. Cable connector is back on the bulb holder, anyway.
The plastic nuts came off a treat, but I managed to break one of those peculiar plastic studs. The stud is still there but the "cap" bit fell off. I thought it would just pull out with a friendly nudge from a screwdriver... :P :-[ Still, the panel's all back in place and is holding firm, so I'm not going to worry unduly about it.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, the light still doesn't work, so it must need a new bulb I suppose. :( ::) ::)

OK chaps, tried new bulb and still no joy. It appears there's no power getting through. Other indicator lights flash normally. I'm no auto electrician, so I'm a bit stumped now. Anyone got a few simple checks I can go through to locate the fault?
