Has any body changed a steering box on a v6? If so how easy is it and how long does it take? Are then any special tools or any hazards to be aware of?
I have a squeak when steering back and forth. I put in some wynn's stop leak which completely silenced it for 2 weeks so I am presuming that it must be the box. All other components have been renewed.

Hmmm, one for 2woody maybe.
Where did the stop leak go in?
And I wonder if the steering box is adjusted too tight?

it's not terribly difficult, but you do have to take a lot out to do it.
remove :-
coolant reservoir
air filter box
brake master cylinder
brake servo
coolant transfer pipe (which needs the plenum and inlet manifold off)
the seering box comes out upwards.
on refitting, make sure that the box is aligned properly and that you don't turn the steering wheel while there's no box attached.
