Ok this is for you brain boxes that have access to part numbers!
I have recently purchased a 2.6 facelift with light front damage. Both headlights are damaged, one due to smashed lense and the other has damaged brackets. Part numbers off these are passenger side (1LL00905023 - 009193419LH) Drivers Side (1LL00905004 - 24406229RH).
Ive purchase two replacement Xenon headlights off e-bay from two different buyers. The first one came with part number 1LL00905003 - 24406228LH, however although it looks almost the same the numbers are different. The second has part number 1LL00902004 - 09147874RH but this does not look the same at all.
I think someone has sold these stating they are xenon to suit facelift when they are not!!!
Can someone check the part numbers and confirm??

Anyone got any idea on this??

You got the answer when you posted this before - http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1307867457#1
Facelift and mfl light units are different :-?
You got a left hand facelift light and a right hand prefacelift light.

I know my prefacelift are different, but was wondering about the two I have purchased that are supposed to be facelift xenon but arnt the same as the two damaged units I have removed from the car?

HID lenses should have "D2S" lettering on them

HID headlights are very distinctive as while they look generally the same they have a great big power pack stuck on the bottom which has a very thick cable running from it to the back of the headlight :y I have a facelift HID headlight here if you need one :y
Part number is 009 193 420 RH! If I was to have an educated guess the 009 193 419 LH is probably correct, the other sounds like its probably just a projector headlight rather than HID...on the plus side...I have the one you need :y

GM part #`s for facelifts are;
Projectors. 009 147 873...L/H. 009 147 874...R/H
HID`s. 009 193 419...L/H. 009 193 420...R/H

Oh yes...are they GM parts??? Or Depot etc??
-
Ok, none of these part numbers appear to match up with what I have got. The original damaged headlights are definatly HID as they have teh ballast packs attached and worked ok except for the smashed lense on one and the damaged brackets on the other.
As they are still working and its only the casings that are damaged, is it possible to transplant all the gubbings into the casings from the two Ive purchased from e-bay??
I will post a couple of photos when I get home tonight.

Possibly depends upon whether what you have is even vaguely right in the first place or not :y
