How many other girlfriends would put on some old clothes and help me rebuild a pair of cylinder heads? ;D
Let alone tolerate doing this in the house ::)
Shall I marry her? ;D

Now if she is able to do an autobox change it would be different.... ;)

You need to do them in the sink and its much easier with the DIS pack bracket removed :y
I also dont see any burn marks on her hands from the paint stripper.
Here are a few pics for her to aim at: ;D

Amazing ..... a member of the female species who not only knows the difference between a spanner and a screwdriver, but also knows that the house is merely an extension of the garage.
Hang on to that one .... a very rare commodity indeed :)

My wife is a Maria as well, but ask her to fetch a 1/2 spanner and you'd get handed a tin of baked beans ;)

"Other halves" can be surprising sometimes. I went to the scrap yard once looking for parts to fuel inject the Westfield. Emma decided to come too and I was dreading it turning into a shoe shopping expedition.
However, I explained that I needed some injectors with a high flow rate, so she should look for the most powerful 4 cylinder car, and if it's got a thing that looks like two old fashioned hair dryers bolted to the side of it so much the better. A Turbo? she said. :o
Anyway, she ran around the yard like a squirrel and found a superb set of injectors that are doing me proud to this day. :y
Did you manage to sneak those heads into the dishwasher with a bit of Jizer, though, James?

No, I used the jetwash at my local Tesco's, and got a right B*llocking when the guy came out and saw me hosing down two cylinder heads ;D ;D

Well, when he shouted, I didn't of course turn around with the hose still spraying ;D

Mine moans but not too bad - didn't mind have an LPG kit strewn around the living room having all the connectors and wires labeled and repaired (loom sliced through).
I suppose better to have a messy person around than off watching football or something.
She has helped a little, but doesn't like getting messy

Certainly NOT James, she should have said "heres £20 love you get yourself off down to the pub love and I'll finish off this cylinder head and when your ready to come home give me a call and I'll come and pick you up" ::)

Yup, Mrs TB is excellent down the scrappy, she seems to be able to tell which smashed up cars are which. Which is more than she can on the road ;D

Well done Marie, Proper Job :y
I remember a few years ago, when I was busy with my car, my wife took the cylinder head off her Austin A40, all by her self. There she was, haynes manual in one hand, socket set in the other. I did get called for assistance at the end, because it wouldn't come off. I said " you've still to take off the exhaust manifold". "It doesn't say anything about that in the manual" was the indignant reply ;D ;D

You're very lucky!
My better half manages to break her car frequently, just waiting for that moment when I have gone away for several months for Queen and Country.
She only got herself a mobile phone a couple of years ago on my insistance which preceded a laptop by about a year!
i still wouldent trade her in yet though :D
