Title: Cam colour

Is the colour of these normal, they seem very bronze.

OR..there again...perhaps oil stained and engrained..Hey..that rhymes !

Just thought i'd ask as the other one I did had much more silver coloured engraining like the pic on the guide for changing cam covers.
This one has done 99k and has a good history, wondered if it was to do with anything in particular.

colour is dependant on servicing..

Lengths of service,
Oil variety / brand
if additives such as slick 50 have been used - these can create a more golden colour.

Cheers jimbob, I did think that oil brand / additives may be a factor.
Just wanted an expert view as I haven't enough knowledge on these things yet.
