Post by: so comfortably numb on 19 June 2011, 12:57:16
Do some mv6's have it? I thought they had silver inserts

I'm confused. I'm looking at a 52 3.2 MV6. It has the later milti spoke wheels and wood trim and cloth seats. So whats the deal. I looking at all sorts of different info about what the actual spec is.
So....does the MV6 have cruise and the rear blind?

will have to check on the blind what date was the reg 02 or 03, any of this could have been added by one of the other owners :y

Mv6's on the facelift have silver trim not wood. No rear blind unless fitted by someone else.   :y

The later Mv6's and Elite's both had the later shape wheels.

Could be misbadged, seems there are a few Elites out there which say MV6 on logbook.

Bose, memory seats, blind (up to 2002), cruise, self levelling suspension all give away an Elite, though any can be retrofitted to MV6 (though fully working memory seats/mirrors would present a decent challenge)

Looking at the seats it would seem that it is an MV6. Annoying that it wont have cruise though.  I think I'll phone a dealer give them the reg and they can tell me what it's designated as

Thanks for that.  It would seem that the cars in question are registered as mv6 so perhaps they were specd out to elite spec....but this doesn;t explain why they have elite badges on them....perhaps a thing when built? I dunno

Hefty pinch of salt needed perhaps. :-/

Both the ex plod omegas that I've had are listed as V6 Vectra Elites ::)

No such thing as a free lunch I guess.

it would seem that later MV6s could have had wood trim ( Kevin's ? )

I think that leather, non-sport seat, BOSE and cruise control could be ordered as options on an MV6. Even LSD as a special option ordered from the factory. But self-levelling probablyonly appears on Elite ever. So that's your best guide.
