Title: Wheel fitting...???
Post by: jordan681 on 24 June 2011, 11:21:39
I have been offered a set of 19in alloys, the only problem is that they a 5x112..  Will these still fit on my omega using a set of wobble bolts...??
I have been told that they will, but am wanting another opinion...

I wouldn't  touch wobble bolts with a barge poll tbh.

If you wish to risk it, that's your choice .. but TUV or not .. the only things that keep you on the road, going in your chosen direction, are 4 little patches of rubber.

If those patches of rubber are not attached to the car securely then you are in trouble.

IMHO a "wobble" bolt will never, ever, be classed as "secure" as it is trying to make something fit that was not designed to be fitted.

Your choice .. but remember to tell your insurers you are using non-standard wheels and fixings .. and then await the premium increase ..  :(
