Title: New crank sensor

Hi I have just put a new crank sensor on my car, put everything back together and then tried to start the car, she starts runs for 10 seconds then stops tried to start her about 5 times with the same results. Any help please?

Is that what it was doing before you changed the sensor?
Why did you change it?

It was changed due to a code 19? And the engine light stayed on, and it was cutting out when hot.

do you have any extra codes?

also, just cos a sensor is new, does not mean it is working.

is it the same part number?? only asking because i had same problem a few years back with a 2,0 l ,use engine number not chassie  number .... had three different ones fitted. ::) ::)

Yes it's the same part number, took the old one off first number was on it.

Disconnect your MAF sensor and try it like that.  If its ok you will need a new MAF sensor. ;)
