Title: HELP brake pad nightmare

I am replacing front pads on the 2.2.
have taken the caliper off & pushed the pot in, pads go in but wont go over the disc. the outer pad is in the way, what do i need to do :'( :'( :'( :'(

I'm a knob the inner pad needed prizing over.
I have taken the whole thing off should of just taken half of it off :-[ :-[
