Title: Ride height in rear side
Post by: polilara on 27 June 2011, 17:26:12
My rear side seems to be in lower position than the front side if I have fuel tank full and e.g. 50 kg in the luggage boot. What is the correct height in rear side when unloaded ? It was discussed here some weeks ago but I cannot find it.

-66mm :o :o -  thats a real low riding Elite   Duggs, ;D ;D ;D ;D

Simple malfunction on the keyboard no doubt - easily done

For our friend in Finland the measurements are around the  675mm mark  for standard suspension  & 15mm lower, 660mm for MV6 , some Elites  & the 2.2 sport.

but some other OOfers will argue this  ;) ;) ;)

Thanks duggs, just measured it. Left and right side are 66 cm - from ground to the arc and standard wheels/tyres. If that is really OK they seem to be somehow too soft. I replaced them some years ago as one of them was broken. The new ones were cheap, not original perhaps of bad quality. Should take my caravan with me next week...

OK Essex Big Al, I did not read your comment as I was replying to duggs. Car is unloaded and tank is almost empty. New better springs needed obviously.

Ride height sometimes can get knocked off when the  sensor on the n/s rear of dif has become bent.

Worth a look to ensure it is not bent/fallen off.
