Title: Performance Upgrades - West Midlands

Is there anyone that can fit some G-Cams to my 3.0 v6 in the west Midlands area (near M6 Jct9) and some 3.2 Manifolds at a cheap price  :D .
(I can supply the G-Cams and manifolds)

A trip up to the Darth cave in Stoke may be your best option. ;)
Or failing that, Serek seems pretty clued up on these matters.

3.0l shoudl already have G cams (along with a pair of A's)  :-/

Istr something about having 4 x G cams being a good idea ? Not sure though. :-/
Or 2x G + 2x J ?  :-/

Serek told me, but it was about a month ago, so its all very hazy now. ::) ;D ;D

what you mean about cheap?? to fit them manifolds you need take engine out of car or head off :y

OK not cheap - but cheaper than going to a vauxhall dealer atleast  ;D

Can someone tell me if the Cams from a 2.6 CDX v6 Vectra have 2X G-Cams? or was it only the 2.5/2.6 GSI v6 that had 2x G-Cams?

To be perfectly honest, Raj.. We're talking about changes that will only make the most marginal difference to performance, if noticeable at all. As has previously been said many times, there isn't much you can easily do to make a significant improvement to performance on a 3.0.

Now, if I was in your position but could easily make these changes myself, costing no more than my time and effort, I might be inclined to have an experiment and see if it made a noticeable difference.

What you are contemplating is to go to a garage and get them to fit non-standard parts that, in the case of the manifolds, will require some "hacking about" to fit and no doubt quite an expensive labour bill. If I were that garage I'd probably refuse to do the work or at least offer no guarantees at the end of it.

I really don't think this is an advisable path to go down, TBH.

G cams are fitted only to 3.0 and 3.2 as standard

performance upgrade and "cheap" definition dont match..  if you tell this to a mechanic they will smile at you .. sorry..
