Hi - are facelift MV6 leather interiors charcoal as opposed to the earlier black versions of pre-facelifts or are they all black?
Any issues putting a black set with airbags in a 2003?
Ta.

Facelift seats have the whiplash protecting headrests ;)
-
there are 2 different 'leathers' available for mv6, a smoother darker one (earlier facelift), and a textured lighter one (later facelift).
earlier versions are less safe from an insurance perspective.
and also the heaters are incompatible.

Are they the same shape?
I have been offered a set in good condition that have been removed from a x reg mv6 but appear from the photos to be black :-(
Are the wiring plugs different so i could tell from a photo of these?
Any way of telling if it has anti whip from the outside otherwise?

Sorry - think I may have mis-read this.
Are you saying these are BOTH from facelift shapes?
What age did the change take place?
Any way to get the electrics to be compatible?

to clarify...
3 mv6 types
pre (well mini) facelift
dark, and smooth, no active head restaints, on or off heaters
early facelift
dark, and smooth, active head restaints, 0-5 on heaters
later facelift
lighter dark, and textured, active head restaints, 0-5 on heaters
the last 2 are electically identical (unless seat occupancy detection is present in one and not the other)
the 1st is incompatable, and an insurance risk.
