my cable has snapped is this an easy job to do and where is the best place on the web to get one> many thanks ian :)

Easy enough with heatshields removed. There`s one here, but a decent motor factors might be cheaper

And all the extension bars you have to hand... I found that I could only get tiny movement on the nut... It would be a good time to do the service on the handbrake...

And all the extension bars you have to hand...
Not sure if the 4 Pot Petrols have the heat shields over the adjuster but the DTi's don't. Just changed the cable on Jane's estate, easy enough job to do, as said above you either need a couple of ratchet extensions and a deep socket or a ratchet spanner, I had to use a normal spanner but my hand had nearly fell off after removing and refiting the adjuster bolt!

I gave up with hand tools very quickly and put my Airgun onto it... lol...
