Hi,
Ive been looking at some tyres / alloys etc. and I seem to be coming across some conflicting information on wheel / tyre sizes.
When I started looking into it I seem to find a lot of Omega around my year ('99) which state they have 15" wheels, is that correct?
I ask because, as I said, I have been looking at tyre prices for mine which currently has 16" rim tyres (don't have the means to actually measure the wheels at the moment).
I am by no means an expert (sure you can gather that from my blabbering post), so just wondering what the standard wheel / tyre size should be?
I can't check the manual etc at the moment as I am away from home for a few days and don't have it with me.
Cheers one and all.

It depends on the spec of the car, some have 15" & some have 16" even early Elites only had 15". My 99 Elite originally had 16" fitted as satndard. :y :y

Based on that, I suppose its quite feasible that it has 16" alloys (currently has 225/55/R16 tyres) as standard. Although I have just noticed the spare is only a 15" steel wheel with a 205/55/R15 tyre!!!!! Tyre and spare are pretty spotless though.
Pretty expensive these 225 tyres though compared to what I am used to haha. Even quite a bit more than the 205s I have on my Peugeot 406.

The OOF online manual lists these sizes under tyre pressures:
195/65 R 15 (not v6 except mud & snow)
205/65 R 15
225/55 R 16
235/45 R 17
This is for facelifts not MFL but it gives an idea of the variety that's floating around out there even before folk have started modifying.

They all have that size in the boot no matter what's fitted to the car. :y

Ahh OK, didn't know that.

on that you should have 225,55,16 and they are a pain to get hold of now as not many cars use that size any more.be cheeper to look on ebay for a set of 4 wheels

I have been looking on there and asking around. The problem is I need to replace a tyre for minimal cost as I have MOT next week and holiday in 2 weeks without much spare cash haha.
I can get a tyre done in kwikfit for £89, which is a Marangoni (prob not the best in the world) but it may well have to do this time round.

It's a pity you're not closer, I've 4 x 16" older Elite rims, 2 have decent/MOTable tyres on them.

Seems like my luck at the moment. Spoke to Daz who has 4 rims with 3 good tyres but the cost (with palletting as stoke is about 200 mile round trip) is a bit high for me at the moment. Long term it would be a much cheaper option (plus an alloy upgrade) but I can't really justify the extra outlay at this moment.

Why not holiday in Stoke instead?
;)

Now theres a thought, although I don't think SWMBO would approve :D
