Hi All,
Still having crank shaft sensor problems, its deffinatly the right sensor. After fitting it ran fine and didn't bring up any codes, did a fairly long test drive and it didn't have a problem. Soon as I pulled into my road, stalls, won't start. Eventually got it to start and got it back to the garage where I had it fitted, stalled again.
The guy checked the connection, no problem and the part is a genuine and brand new. Reckons I need a new ECU, is that the same feeling on here?
Also (this is not me trying to sell it Mods) how much could I expect for scrap? Its just had the cam, aux belts and the water pump costing almost £600.00. :'( :'(

Still could be faulty. Any codes?

Dunno didn't try, didn't have a paperclip.
The guy tested it before I left 20 minutes before and it didn't bring up a code.

However I did notice when I got back in the temp gague wasn't working and the fuel level dropped to zero then came back up again after I tried to start it again.

Sorry I should re-phrase that, the temp gauge wasn't working and the fuel gague dropped to nothing then back up with the ignition still on.

No. He's guessing. ;) I don't believe we've ever seen one of those ECUs fail, so highly unlikely.

If there is a first, with my luck as its been this year, it will be me :'(

If you have intermittent electrical problems I would start by checking fuses and battery connections.

Hi guys,
after a discussion with the missus and my mother, I've swapped the Omega for an Accord that the guy had in part ex.
TBF I'm surprised as its quite a bargain, tax till feb, test till oct/nov, new tyres, new rad, new battery (he's fitting this for me to help out, the other bits were already there) and 3/4 a tank of fuel.
I pick it up tomorrow, so much for my time in, or rather out of an Omega :)
